The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) had arrested 11 suspects who are believed to be part of the “Anonymous Malaysia” hacker group across the country.
Raids were conducted by officers from Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (JSJK) in Klang Valley, Pahang, Johor and Perak after spying on these men for a week.
According to The Star, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said that the suspects were aged between 22 to 40 and that they are the administrator of the Anonymous Malaysia Facebook page.
Acryl Sani said that the group of men were believed to be responsible for hacking websites from government and private sectors. They are suspecting that 17 websites had been hacked by them.
They are being charged under Section 4 of the Computer Crime Act 1997 for organizing cyber attacks.
