A Malaysian restaurant in Melbourne, Australia is looking for a talented individual to join their crew as a roti canai maker.
The restaurant, known as Roti Bar on Little Collins Street in South Melbourne serves authentic Malaysian cuisine in the city and they are looking to expand its crew.
In an advertisement posted on the job portal Seek, Roti Bar is offering a monthly between AUD5,000 to AUD5,416, which is equivalent to as much as RM17,000 per month for the full-time position as a roti canai chef.
That works out to about AUD64,999 annually, which is approximately RM205,000!
Apart from the monthly salary, Roti Bar also offers employee benefits that include accommodation and staff meals, as well as being in a “stable organisation with long term employment” and a “sponsorship for qualified candidates”.
Nonetheless, such an attractive offer comes with certain requirements and potential candidates are required to have the following:
– Must have experience in flipping roti canai
– Basic flipping skills are essential, but training will be provided to meet restaurant standards
– Able to work under pressure
– Responsible and able to take instructions
– Must have full working rights in Australia
Meanwhile, interested candidates will be working with head chef, Ray, a Malaysian who currently resides in Melbourne.
