A motorcyclist died as a result of being hit by another vehicle after the motorcycle he was riding lost control and skidded at Kilometer 418 southbound, North -South Highway here on Friday night.
Hulu Selangor District Police Chief, Superintendent Arsad Kamaruddin said, they received an emergency call around 10.30 pm regarding the incident.
“The accident happened when a Yamaha Y15 motorcycle ridden by a local man skidded and fell in the middle lane and then a lorry came which did not have time to dodge, continuing to hit the motorcycle causing both vehicles to catch fire.
“Then two Perodua Alza and Proton Iswara cars that could not dodge hit the victim who was on the road,” he said in a statement on Saturday.
According to Arsad, the victim was confirmed dead at the scene as a result of the violation and his body was taken to Kuala Kubu Bharu Hospital for autopsy.
In the meantime, he asked witnesses to contact the police to assist in the investigation.
“The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” he said.
