Police will take stern action against those who violate the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the Movement Control Order (PKP) following the video infection inviting the public to gather at several locations this Wednesday.
Director of the Department of Internal Security and Public Order, Datuk Zainal Abidin Kasim, said the police detected a two -minute 40 -second video that was spread through social media, inviting the public to gather at several locations at 12 noon on Wednesday.
According to him, the police would like to remind the public that the SOP of the National Security Council (MKN) on the movement and organization of social activities is still in force.
“Therefore, stern action will be taken in accordance with the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342), on any party detected violating the NSC SOP by organizing or participating in any assembly in phase 1 of the National Rehabilitation Plan (VAT).
“The public is advised not to spread any material that could invite the public to violate the NSC SOP, which could result in the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic,” he said in a statement today.
Zainal said the police also asked the public to continue to abide by the SOP and together play a role in the government’s efforts to beat the Covid-19 epidemic spread curve.
