The second round of opt-in for AstraZeneca vaccine is now open for those that are interested to be vaccinated first. However, this opt-in will only be offered to those above 60 year-old living in the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor, Kuching and Miri.
As shared by Bernama, the Covid-19 Immunization Task Force (CITF) in a statement said that vaccinations will happen from June 7 to July 27 for the first dose at 8 AstraZeneca Vaccine Delivery Centers (PPVAZ) respectively.
The PPVAZs that the vaccinations will take place are the SPICE Loyal Convention Center, Penang; Persada Johor International Convention Center, Johor Bahru; Borneo Convention Center Kuching, Sarawak; and Miri National Youth Skills Institute, Sarawak.
In addition, other PPVAZs are at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Center, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur; National University of Malaysia, Selangor; and Ideal Convention Center, Shah Alam, Selangor.
Those who are interested can make their bookings at www.vaksincovid.gov.my. The CITF also encourage the young to assist the elderly in the process of booking for the vaccination slot.
