Ronaldo returns to Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo finally returned to Old Trafford 12 years after leaving Manchester United to join Real Madrid.

The 36 -year -old Portuguese striker will sign a two -year contract, United announced in a statement.

According to United, they have reached an agreement with Juventus on Ronaldo’s transfer and are just waiting for the player to undergo a medical before a contract is signed.

“Cristiano, owner of five Ballon d’Or titles and winner of 30 major trophies, including five Champions League trophies, four Club World Cups, seven league titles in England, Spain and Italy and a European title with Portugal.

“During his first time with Manchester United, he scored 118 goals in 292 games. “Everyone at the club welcomes Cristiano’s return to Manchester,” United wrote.

Ronaldo was previously linked with a move to Manchester City, but he changed his mind after receiving an offer from United.

The Portugal captain joined United in 2003, before leaving the club to move to Real Madrid in 2009.
