The National Unity Ministry has released a standard operating procedure (SOP) for Qing Ming Festival.
In compliance with, all Nirvana Asia Group branches and centres will adjust their operating procedures accordingly.
Aside from that, families who wish to visit memorial parks for tomb cleaning are urged to make appointments in advance online to ensure safety.
The SOP would be applicable for 14 days before the actual festival date, which is from March 20 to April 4, and 14 days after, from April 5 to 18, throughout the duration of the movement control order, conditional MCO and recovery MCO to allow the Chinese community to perform ancestral worship and tomb sweeping rites.
The public are encouraged to make appointments, stating the number of visitors, visitation time, contact number and location of memorial park or columbarium.
Upon submission of the appointment application, the applicant will receive a confirmation email.
For Nirvana Memorial Parks in the Central Region (Semenyih, Shah Alam, Klang, Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh), the public are urged to make appointments through Google link from 8am to 3pm.
A maximum of 6 visitors per group present at the same time with an allotted time of 45 minutes for worship rites and only two vehicles permitted to enter each site.
As for Nirvana Memorial Parks in the Southern Region, Northern Region, Sabah and Sarawak, different Qing Ming Festival SOP will be drawn up based on the operational requirements of the respective memorial park.

As for temple sites, each group can only appoint one representative to perform prayers with all members required to leave as soon as worship rites are completed.
On-site dining is not allowed.
As for those who unable to travel interstate, they can opt for a Qing Ming memorial dedication representative worship service to perform the rites on their behalf.
