PAS politician said his official’s Twitter account was Hacked to like Gay Porn

Selangor PAS Secretary and political columnist, Roslan Shahir had recently made it to the top search on social media for liking gay pornography posts in Twitter. As the situation went out of control, he had deactivated his Twitter and Facebook account to prevent anyone from looking into his like history again.

Yesterday (15 May), the Selangor PAS Facebook page had in released a statement saying that the gay pornography posts “liked” on Roslan’s Twitter account was a result of “hacking” by unnamed political “players”.

In the statement, they said “Recently, the personal Twitter account of Roslan Shahrir Mohd Shahrir, the communications secretary of Selangor PAS, was ‘hacked’ to view pornographic websites that showed lewd video recordings.”

“Such action must be rejected so that the culture of using malicious slander to humiliate someone personally will not occur in the future,” they added.

Even so, the statement did not conclude that how his Twitter account had been “hacked”. The statement also did not say if Roslan will be reporting the matter to PDRM and the Malaysian Multimedia and Communications Commission (MCMC).

Meanwhile, “hack” would be in violation of Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act for the misuse of network facilities as well as an offence under Section 416 of the Penal Code for identity theft.

Despite the statement from PAS Selangor, netizens were not convinced and said that he should have just admitted it to prevent any further complications. Meanwhile, netizens who have expected that he will say that his account was “hacked” were spot on too!
