The fire broke out in the Kuala Lumpur’s iconic building, Panggung Bandaraya on the morning of 13 February 2021. The front porch of the building had been burnt down and the fire was so fierce that it is visible from a distance away.
The fire were quickly extinguished by a cleaning contractor who happen to be near the area. Fortunately nobody was injured in the incident.
The cause of the fire remained unknown and it had damaged a Safety Control Counter and a window. Fortunately, nobody was injured in the incident.
As reported by NST, Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan said that the building will be schedule for an upgrade and will be closed for public for now. When the building is open for all, the entrance fee will be free.
He stated that their main concern is the security of the building and homeless people might make this place their own. As to his knowledge, they have been using the water from the fountain to bathe.
