The Covid-19 vaccination programme had been on-going in Malaysia for a few weeks now. Those who have not registered for the vaccination are encouraged to do so too. For those who do not have a smart phone or access to the MySejahtera application, here’s a good news for you. You can now get registered with your family member’s MySejahtera app.
Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Khairy Jamaluddin had in a press conference today announced that the “Family Registration” function will be available in MySejahtera after 12 March.
Khairy said that he is confident that the registration rate for the Covid-19 vaccination will increase, whereby Malaysians can help their parents or anyone under their care register for the vaccine. With this, the remaining 80% of Malaysians who have yet to register can do so.
He stated that the Government of Malaysia will be increasing the procurement of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to 32 million doses, which is an 7 million additional doses to the initial plan. The five districts with the highest vaccination registrations are Kuala Lumpur, Kota Bharu, Kuching, Kuantan, and Kota Kinabalu while the highest five states to receive the vaccine are Sarawak, Pahang, Selangor, Kelantan, and Sabah.
