Following the announcement from the Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin, these 3 places will now be considered as heaven on earth for Malaysians!
Yesterday (2 August), Muhyiddin has announced that Perlis, Sarawak and Labuan will be moving forward to the Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) and with this progress, most daily activities and businesses will be allowed to resume as usual. In addition, people are allowed to dine in at restaurants and stalls!
In the statement, he also said that the decision is made after a discussion with the National Security Council (MKN). Meanwhile, he mentioned that the government will be announcing the relaxation of the restrictions for those who are fully vaccinated too.
“I would also like to emphasize here that the government’s strategy is to provide vaccinations to as many adults as possible in Malaysia to ensure that the country’s recovery can be carried out smoothly.” he said.
“I hope with cooperation by all parties throughout the country, even more states will be able to move on to the next phase.”
“We have to be optimistic and continue forward so that the country’s recovery can be conducted safely and systematically.” he added.
Meanwhile, he also said that there will be other benefits for the economic sector, but the matter needs to be looked through carefully to ensure the government’s efforts to rehabilitate the economy and quality of life be executed smoothly and effectively.
He also said that as more people are being vaccinated, this will lift the burden of the health officers, and will lead to more economic and social sectors being able to open safely.
After the announcement, the Perlis Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Azlan Man reminded the citizens to continue to obey the SOPs at all times to prevent another Covid-19 outbreak in the state. However, MKN has yet announce the full list of SOPs for these states.
As for the rest who are residing outside of these 3 states, do you think this is a good move from the Government? Share your thoughts!
