Malaysia breaks its record for Covid-19 cases, recording over 6,000 cases today

Malaysia had just recorded its highest number of Covid-19 daily cases today (19 May) with 6,075 cases.

According to the Health Director-General, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah’s tweets, Selangor is still holding the top spot with 2,251 cases, following by Johor at 699 cases and the second runner up, Kuala Lumpur at 660 cases.

What’s frightening is that according to a Tweet from the Ministry of Health (MOH), there are no more Green Covid-19 zones in Peninsular Malaysia across the 14-day period as at May 18.

The analysis from MOH shows that there were only 5 green zones out of 40 in Sarawak and 8 green zones out of 27 in Sabah. Meanwhile, green zones meant that there were 0 Covid-19 cases in the period under review.

Once again, the authorities had urged Malaysians to stay at home unless it is necessary to go out. Stay home, stay safe.
