Have you heard of Google Stadia? A platform for all Games!

Google Stadia is an interesting way to upgrade your gaming experience. If you are curious about what Google Stadia is, we are here to give you the answers. Google Stadia is a cloud gaming service developed and operated by Google.

We’ve heard so much about cloud services, but what makes cloud gaming special? Google Stadia enables you to play video games without the need to download the files, nor the need to have additional computer hardware just to play a game.

All you need is good internet connection and Google Chrome support on the device that you are streaming it on. Here’s some examples of devices that you can stream the games on, i.e. Chromecast on TV, the Chrome browser on PC, or a dedicated Stadia app on Pixel phones and other Android devices.

Google Stadia supports streaming in HRD at 60 fps with 4K resolution and it gives you no less than what you are getting from the current devices.

How does it work?

Google Stadia lets you play the game on all screens while its servers handles all the processing power and allows you to stream via cloud services. Google had build a number of data centers across the globe and had enable Google to provide the gaming cloud service.

It is recommended that you have at least 35Mbps internet speed to enjoy the 4K HDR gameplay. If your internet isn’t that fast, Google do support a wide range of internet speeds, however, they come at a cost of lower graphical quality. You should have a minimum 10Mbps internet speed for you to stream the service smoothly.

Google Stadia had effectively eliminated the requirement for powerful device to just play certain games. The service will cost you $9.99 a month, but it grants you access to ever-growing library of games.

Games in Google Stadia

There are over a hundred games in Google Stadia’s game library and it is still growing. Among the most popular games from Google Stadia are Cyberpunk 2, Destiny 2, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and many others.

Visit the official website for the full list of games.

Unfortunately, the gaming cloud service is still unavailable in Malaysia and Google have yet to announce when the service is open for Malaysians. What’s good to note is that this service will change the landscape of gaming and it is something that we can wait patiently for!
