In conjunction with their 5 year anniversary since the Blackpink girl band first debut, they will be making their journey into a documentary film named “Blackpink: The Movie”
On 23 June, YG Entertainment shared that this will be the first part of the Blackpink’s 4+1 Project and it will drop in August, which coincides with the girl band’s debut date on 8 August 2016.
“Blackpink: The Movie” will include various segments such as interviews with its members, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa sharing their memories during the past 5 years as K-pop singers as will as snippets of past performances.
The documentary file will have a segment called “beauty” that will highlight the distinct personalities of each members, as well as faces which wasn’t shown to the public. Nonetheless, there are some “unreleased special interview” footage of the girls at their candid best too.
At the same time, the film will also have 5 songs from their previous concert tours ‘THE SHOW’ and ‘IN YOUR AREA’ to allow fans to reminisce in the scene again.
According to their press release, the movie is said to be screened in as many as 100 countries, and they are also planning to incorporate ScreenX’s projection technology to achieve a multi-sensory surround effect of nearly 270 degrees, combined with 4DX technology so fans can experience the unique echo and catharsis from the concert, as if they were at the scene.
The movie will be premiered in South Korea on 4 August. On the other hand, GSC Malaysia had confirmed that it will be screened in Malaysia too!
After cinemas had been allowed to operate following the latest SOP relaxation as announced the government, GSC is set to reopen on 16 September!
Meanwhile, GSC had recently announced that “Blackpink: The Movie” will be screening starting 30 September, but you can start grabbing your tickets on Saturday (25 September)!
The movie will be screening at a number of GSC cinemas across the country too.
