‘Grenade-Looking Powerbank’ Found At Tun Razak Exchange Construction Site

On 7 May 2021, the police force, Bomb Destruction Unit (UPB) team alongside with the forensic team were deployed to the construction site after receiving a call regarding the “grenade” found.

What unexpected of the “grenade” looking object found at the Tun Razak Exchange construction site is actually a power bank.

According to District Police Chief Dang Wangi and Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Zainal Abdullah, police received the call at 12.41pm noon.

He added that the authorities were worried that there will be other “bombs” or “grenades” around the area.

However, after thorough inspection performed by the Bomb Destruction Unit team, the object concerned was found to be a mobile charger of the brand Remax.
