Get ready, Apple Fans! MacOS Big Sur is here!

Apple had officially launched the new MacOS 11 Big Sur on 12 November 2020. Being a MacBook user, it’ll definitely mean something to you. This is a free update and is one big redesign for MacOS as it blends in features from iPhone and iPads. Are you guys excited about the new features this update brings you? Redesigning MacOS

Big Sur’s design is more like an iPad than before. The dock with translucent design and icons which are similar to those from iPad and iPhones are introduced for you to get to your favorite application easier.

Big Sur also adopted the on/off toggle switch from iPhone which works exactly the same.

Improved control and notification center

The newly added control center allows you to reach the settings like brightness, volume, Wi-Fi and others easily. Most of them can be expanded for more options, just like what it was in iPads. You can still drag and drop the settings to the top menu just like before.

Oh ya, did we mention on the notification center had been combined with widgets? Notifications now come in like cards, which can be expanded or grouped. While widgets are mostly the same, they were given a new design, 3 different sizes for you to choose from, and you can customize the best view for yourself!

All-new Safari

One of the areas which received a tremendous upgrade – Safari. Let’s start with the display, where you can fully customize it. Change to your favorite background photo and decide what appear on the first page you see. Big Sur makes it easier to search for the tab that you are looking for by introduction a page preview when you hover over any tabs.

Security and Privacy

The new Safari now uses Intelligent Tracking Prevention to identify trackers and help prevent them from profiling you across the web. Simply click on the privacy button and start reviewing the cross‑site trackers Safari is actively preventing from profiling you on that web page.

In short, this will help you find out if there’s an app that’s collection your data or information and whether it shares it with a third party.

Introducing Messages

Big Sur had brought you the chat system of their own – Messages!

Messages is one of applications that was ported from iOS to Mac. It’s features are similar to those from the iOS, connecting you with your friends and family even more convenient!

Improved Navigations

The latest updates to Maps had make trip planning easier! Maps now let you discover new places to eat, shop and explore, as well as creating a guide of your own. You can even share this guide with your friends and family.

Maps now provide a 360-degree view and detailed indoor maps to help you navigate in the new places even better!
