Frustrated Malaysians set fire to PDRM’s Barricade set up during MCO

The Defence Minister, Ismail Sabri has recently stressed that inter-district and interstate travel is strictly prohibited, except for work purposes only. Following the ban, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has increase the road blocks and set up barricades to close off the small roads.

Even when the the authorities has repeated it is essential for everyone to comply with the SOPs to eradicate Covid-19 from our community, there will always be someone who doesn’t seem to agree with this.

The Besut District Police has uploaded some photos of their barricades being burnt by certain people who are dissatisfied with the inter-district and interstate ban.

They’ve commented “The people should already understand how serious the situation is when a MCO is enforced.”

“Yet, there are still people out there who are stubborn and selfish as they do not care about the MCO and do not want to abide by it.”

The Besut District Police said that their barricades and thorn fence between Besut, Terengganu and Pasir Putih, Kelantan were being destroyed as their “rat path” has now been barred.

However, the authorities have later set up heavy stone barricades to seal the road completely. These will not be destroyed easily again by the irresponsible party.
