Driver of Yellow Myvi Crawls Out of His Vehicle after a Runaway Lorry Crushes It Completely

Yesterday (6 September), a horrible car accident involving 7 cars and a lorry had took place in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur at 2.34 p.m.

There were several different videos and photos that were being circulated on the social media that showed the crash.

A netizen who were fortunate enough to slip pass the accident had shared videos of his dashcam, showing how the large yellow lorry crashed into a fleet of cars while waiting at the traffic light.

Meanwhile, there were at least 7 cars that were being affected in the pile-up.

However, a yellow Myvi was being completely crumpled after taking the full force of the lorry.

Despite being completely crumpled, the driver managed to survive the accident and he was seen climbing out of the wreckage after passersby managed to pry open a gap for him to crawl through.

There were no reported casualties as a result of terrible accident.

Meanwhile, FMT reported that the lorry driver responsible for a road accident is on drugs.

Head of the traffic investigation and enforcement department, Sarifudin Mohd Salleh had in a statement said initial investigations showed that the lorry had been on its way to Sentul when the accident occurred.

“At the Jalan Ipoh traffic light, the lorry involved went out of control and collided with five other vehicles that were stopped at the traffic light.”

“The driver of the yellow Myvi suffered minor injuries to the face and received treatment in the green zone at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, while the other drivers did not suffer any serious injuries and were treated before being allowed to return home.” he said.

Sarifudin also mentioned that the urine test of the lorry driver shows that he had not been drinking, but that he was under the influence of methamphetamine and amphetamine.

He said the case is being investigated as a case of driving under the influence of drugs and causing death or injury.

If convicted, the driver faces a jail term of between three and ten years and a fine between RM8,000 and RM20,000.
