Our Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah had on 28 November 2020 announced that the Covid-19 vaccines that had been secured by the Government of Malaysia will be distributed to the public as soon as the first quarter of 2021.

It is also communicated that the vaccine will only be available for those above 18, as researches to develop these vaccine had only been done on adults and the effectiveness of the vaccine is still unknown in children that are 12 and below.
