Nothing can stop this man from his craving for Nasi Ganja Ipoh!
This morning (23 July), The Star had reported a customer from Kuala Lumpur that is willing to go to great lengths, or rather heights, to get the dish to be delivered to him from Ipoh with a helicopter.
Nonetheless, a spokesperson for the nasi ganja restaurant said that his restaurant received an order for 36 packets of rice with chicken, meat and salted eggs this morning.
However, what surprises him is that the order was left with a note that says that someone will be collecting the order using a helicopter.
“Initially I doubted (it) too as we never had a customer collect food via helicopter.”
“However, I was surprised because it turned out that they were actually collected by a helicopter.”
“This is the first time an order has been collected by a customer using a helicopter. This is the most luxurious order I have ever received, but the price remains the same at RM10 per pack.” he said.
Meanwhile, the incident had been confirmed by Perak police chief Comm, Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid and he revealed that the helicopter had touched down at 9.55 a.m. and 10.15 a.m. to pick up the order despite only being allowed to land at Sultan Azlan Shah Airport.
On the other hand, Comm Mior Faridalathrash added that the police had informed Ipoh Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia on the matter.
He mentioned that the police will investigate whether the people in the helicopter have permit to cross states borders.
If Nasi Ganja sounds unfamiliar to you, it is more widely being known as nasi kandar. The dish got its name for its apparent addictiveness and it is whipped up by the Indian Muslims in the northern part of peninsula Malaysia.
