Chief Police from “Police Station Disco” tested positive for Marijuana

Yesterday (21 July), the “Police station disco” incident took over the Internet and many are surprised that such a thing could have happened among our police force.

Following up on the incident, Harian Metro reported that the chief police officer whose station is under the administration of IPD Kajang had been suspended from work while investigations are ongoing.

Meanwhile, Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS) director, Datuk Azri Ahmad said that the 7 individuals arrested (three police officers and four women) at the scene had been released on bail.

“The Urine tests show that the chief police officer of the station is positive for marijuana. The officer will be remanded for 2 days for investigation purposes.” he added.

He also mentioned that the case will be followed up by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) of the Kajang IPD. At the same time, JIPS Bukit Aman will be carrying out parallel investigations on the wrongdoings and the disciplinary violations of the officers.

On the other hand, the remaining 3 police officers were being pulled from their active duty and assigned administrative work.

According to The Star, all 4 police officers have now been transferred to the Kajang police district headquarters’ administrative division until investigations are completed.

Selangor police chief Comm, Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed said that transfer order had been issued following their arrested after being involved in the wild party on Tuesday (20 July).

“I confirm that they have been transferred with immediate effect to enable investigations to be conducted.”

“Another Sub-Inspector will take over duties of the OCS to ensure all daily matters involving the public and nearby residents run smoothly.” Arjunaidi said.

Nonetheless, he said that the police will not compromise if the police personnel or officers were found to be involved in criminal activities and misconduct.

“Investigations are being conducted by Kajang police and the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standard Compliance Department (JIPS).”

“We are still waiting for the full report of the investigations.” he added

Yesterday, the chief police office from a police station in the Kajang district, along with 3 of his colleagues and 4 women were arrested arrested following a raid by the Bukit Aman JIPS department.

Those arrested are aged between 21 and 37 and they were caught enjoying themselves in the “special room” in the police station while drinking alcohol and air ketum.

The room had been decorated in a way to resemble a disco where they placed a disco-like rotating light. They were caught red handed and the Bukit Aman unit had confiscated liquor bottles, five bottles of ketum, speakers, disco lights, audio amplifier system equipment, recorders, microphones and a TV unit. It is also reported that they a pornographic image of one of the officers with a woman was being found too.

Stay tuned for more updates.
