A Twitter user was shocked to find out that videos of her taken by hidden cameras at an H&M fitting room went circulated on the dark web for sale.

According to user @meleisgw, she recently came across a private group from an unspecified social media site that was allegedly selling videos taken by spy cameras. Along with the tweet, she shared a screenshot of the post, which showed aerial view footage inside the women’s fitting room.

“From now on, I’m never going into fitting rooms whenever I go shopping. This is terrifying,” she said.

Soon after she made the post, several victims approached her, with one claiming that she was one of the women in the video screenshot.

“I am one of the people in that video. It has caused embarrassment after the video was published publicly.”

“By the way, the fitting room is at H&M, if I am not mistaken. I bought a shirt from there, and the videos might have been filmed on 6 October 2022,” the victim said.

The user then encouraged the victims to be brave and join her in lodging a police report together.

H&M lodges police report

Meanwhile, H&M Malaysia said it had since lodged a police report regarding the issue of concealed cameras in their fitting rooms.

“The safety of our customers is of the utmost importance to us. A police report has been made and investigations are currently ongoing.”
