Some commuters have been frightened by a loose escalator handrail that is thought to be at the MRT Muzium Negara.
A netizen named Zulfadhli (@zulfadhlizahir) recorded videos and images of the rubber handrail cover lifting off while the escalator was in operation.
A few escalator users could be seen worryingly glancing at the broken railing.
Zulfadhli has been contacted by MRT and Rapid KL, who have thanked him for making them aware of the problem.
To resolve the problem, they have submitted the situation to the appropriate operator.
Netizens considered the scenario to be both funny and depressing. The MRT was only inaugurated in 2017 yet, according to netizen, its facilities made it seem as though it had been in operation since 1917.
Issues have been resolved
RapidKL quickly responded to the post and stated that the problematic escalator handrail had been fixed and was now operational. They also expressed regret for the trouble they had created.
