Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was recently featured on the reality television show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in India, and his popularity has helped the contestant win 640,000 rupees (≈RM34,000).
In a snippet of the show, which aired on 23 December, Amitabh Bachchan, a legendary Indian actor and TV host, asked the contestant, “Which country elected Anwar Ibrahim as its Prime Minister in 2022?”
The four answer choices given were Iran, Malaysia, Bahrain, and Indonesia.
“Iraq, Malaysia, Bahrain, Indonesia. From the names of the countries, he could be from any of them. But I may have read this somewhere recently. So, I would like to go with option B, Malaysia,” the contestant said.
When asked if he read about this, the contestant said he found it on the Internet.
The contestant managed to pass to the next round and brought home INR640,000 (≈RM34,000).

Anwar conquers even Bollywood!
The short clip has since gone viral online, with many netizens lauding Anwar for his influence on the international stage, and the world recognises his talent.
“Anwar has successfully conquered Bollywood!” a netizen said.
“Even the foreigners are obsessed with Anwar Ibrahim,” another netizen said.
