Singapore has recalled a batch of Malaysian-imported Prego Carbonara Mushroom Pasta Sauce due to product spoilage.

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) issued a statement yesterday, December 23, stating that The Arnott’s Group detected the spoilage that was due to a manufacturing error.

The SFA continued by advising the general public not to consume the product at any cost because it had been deemed unsafe for ingestion and should not be distributed.

In addition, the statement mentioned that a bad smell, an odd colour, a watery look, and divided layers of liquid are all indications of spoiling.

The importer of the item, Campbell Soup Southeast Asia Sdn Bhd, has also been instructed to remove the item from Singaporean supermarkets and shops.
