We are often reminded not to leave our things outside the common area to avoid being stolen. Nonetheless, it appear that by installing CCTVs in public areas are not enough to deter thieves from sneaking around grabbing people’s property.
Recently, the 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians Facebook page uploaded a CCTV footage showing a man stealing women’s undergarments at a flat unit at PPR Intan Baiduri, in KL.
The 31-second video showed how the thief grabbed a few pairs of undergarments and walked back in the direction he came from.
However, he later came back to grab a few more pieces before leaving the ‘crime scene’ in another direction.
The man also tried his best to hide himself but his face was caught right by the CCTV.
He’s out of undergarments
The video has since gone viral on Facebook, with many netizens reminding others not to hang their undergarments outside their home, especially at places which is easily accessible by anyone.
“Hanging undergarments in public places attract thieves. It’s better to hang them inside our home,” a netizen said.
On the other hand, many made jokes about the thief and said it may not be what we think it is.
“He is planning to gift the undergarments to his loved ones,” a netizen said.
“It’s raining these days and his undergarments were not dried. He’s borrowing it and will return it later,” another netizen said.
Nonetheless, here’s a reminder for all to keep their belongings within their home to avoid being stolen.
