PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang has once again accused the DAP of spreading Islamophobia narratives to win support at the 15th General Election (GE15).

In a lengthy Facebook post, Hadi Awang said DAP was ‘creedless and immoral’ and claimed that they are now showing their true colours by spreading propaganda aimed at portraying PAS as an Islamic extremist party.

“This is made evident when DAP openly slander Islam, especially with attacks against PAS because of PAS’ progress in GE15, where we managed to secure the highest number of federal seats among all individual parties, including DAP and other parties in PH,” he said.

“The most intense lies against Islam as carried by the views of the orientalists and Western media are imported by the DAP, to the point that falsities are reported against PAS. This subliminal act can confuse those who do not study Islam from its original sources and the faith’s track record for wide acceptance without force,” he added.

PAS won a record 43 parliamentary seats in GE15, while DAP won 40.

Hadi then claimed that DAP appoints ‘stupid and liberal Malays’ who were rejected by Islam to be its mouthpiece, while they work in the shadows to implement its anti-Islam strategies.

Kelantan non-Malays lived peacefully

He also said that the 13 May 1969 racial riots were eased thanks to the Islamic traits within the Malay-Muslim community.

“In fact, Chinese and Indian families can now not only live peacefully in Kelantan, Terengganu, and Kedah, but the situation is also like releasing a stuck dog.”

“What right does DAP have to admonish the PAS state governments in Kelantan, Terengganu, and Kedah for banning alcohol for Muslims only while giving freedom to non-Muslims? Is this an extreme act?” he said.

Hadi reiterated that DAP should be viewed as an ‘extreme’ party due to their attempts to ‘cheat’ by presenting Malay-Muslim members, candidates and leaders.

“This will not legitimise its ideologies which go against Islam, similar to how pork is not legitimised by a Muslim cook wearing a kopiah or serban.”

“DAP’s Islamophobia cannot be covered by DAP’s muddied hands, although it attempts to put on a Malay mask while performing ablutions,” he said.
