NewsMonday Nov 28 will be a holiday according to PM Anwar Ibrahim

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Malaysia’s new 10th Prime Minister, has declared November 28 to be a national holiday (Monday).

He gave a press conference earlier yesterday to announce the good news.

According to Bernama, Anwar first made the announcement in his press conference on Nov. 24.

The news site reported that Anwar had shared that following the strengthening of the ringgit and of “Bursa (Malaysia)”, he was keen to allow the positive movement to continue.

“I told the Chief Secretary to the Government and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, I have made this promise for Monday, but matters were not settled, so now it’s settled,” Anwar added.

For many Malaysians, who have been impatiently awaiting and stressing about the choice of the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia since the 15th General Elections (GE15), which took place last Saturday, this is a relief (November 19).

Everyone can take advantage of the national holiday to unwind and recover after the anxious waiting and monitoring of social media postings, especially our media friends who have been working nonstop since the beginning of the polls.
