The late Tok Guru Nik Aziz, also the former President of PAS has left us many years now, but his legacy and wise words remain engraved in the hearts of many Malaysians.

The 15th General election ended with a hung Parliament, and amidst the ongoing chaos and drama as politicians fight to form the next federal government, a clip that contains snippets of the late Nik Aziz preaching about racial unity has gone viral on social media.

In the video, the late Tok Guru said he has attended many multicultural events, including weddings and funerals of other races, and how the religion focus on living in harmony with other races.

“I’m simply following the Prophet’s way,” he said.

He also said that it is not the different races that are a threat to the country, but the different ideologies instead.

“The Malays are not a threat to the Chinese, and the Chinese are not a threat to the Malays. What’s really threatening us are the wrong ideologies,” he said.

The video was shared by TikTok page Harian Becok as it reminds the people that Malaysia is a multiracial country, and racial riots like the ’13th May incident’ should be put to a stop.
