One of the best inventions ever made is the straw.
They make life much simpler for people like myself who are lazy. Additionally, they help keep clutter in check, especially when ladies are wearing lipstick.
Thicker straws for your hot coffee at Starbucks, standard straws for your kopi bing at the coffee shop. Thick straws for your bubbles at Gongcha. Straws are a constant. You just cannot survive without these benefits.
But did you also comprehend its limitations?
Using Straws Often Would Cause Wrinkles
Your lips and the skin around them will be covered in wrinkles, giving the impression that you are older than you actually are.
We will pucker and purse our lips into a small “O” shape when using a straw to drink.
Our lips will immediately take on a wrinkled appearance when they adopt this shape. And repeating the sucking motion will ensure that the lines on and around our lips stay there permanently.
It also becomes easier to get wrinkles of this kind as we age because the collagen that fills in the lines is lost.
Of course, occasionally using a straw won’t hurt you as long as you don’t consider it necessary.
This is yet another excuse for you not to drink from a straw.
