Turning 21 is a big hit as it signifies that a person is now considered an adult. While most parents would throw a party for their children, some choose to buy them something memorable.
Recently, a 21-year-old girl in Batu Pahat, Johor received an incredible birthday gift that would make the whole town go envy — a bright-yellow Porsche Cayman sportscar.
According to Sin Chew Daily, the parents said they decided to surprise their daughter with an extravagant gift to commemorate her 21st birthday.
Meanwhile, it did not just stop there. The couple even send the supercar to the doorstep of her daughter’s workplace, with the car encased in a plexiglass box that comes with a message, saying “Happy birthday, our darling daughter! In our eyes, you’re always the best!”
It’s a promise
Speaking to the Chinese daily, the young woman’s mother, 39-year-old Mrs Wen explained that the car was their promise to their daughter when she was a young girl.
“Her father promised to buy her a sportscar on her 21st birthday when she was a young girl. Since then, we had never forgotten the promise and since we are capable, we decide to honour the promise,” she said.
Mrs Wen then shared that her daughter always knew that they would be getting her a sports car for her birthday, but she had no idea what make, model, or colour it was going to be.
She added that her birthday is in December, but they already selected the car two months earlier and decided to give her a month earlier as a surprise.
Unforgettable birthday gift
The huge surprise arrives at around 8 pm outside her workplace, leaving the young woman speechless while beaming in joy.
Nonetheless, Mrs Wen said she treated all her four children equally. Similarly, their eldest son received a gift when he turn 21-year-old too.
According to Porsche Malaysia’s official website, the Porsche 718 Cayman sportscar retails at RM555,000.
