Commuters in Kuala Lumpur had their blood boiling after the Kelana Jaya LRT line experienced a technical issue for the third time this month alone.
According to Twitter user @ordinaryboyadam, train services at the Kelana Jaya line halted for about an hour on 21 September at 5.56 pm, causing crowds to build up at the platform as they wait for the trains to resume operation.
The user slammed the train operator, RapidKL for allowing this to happen during the peak hour. He also pointed out that the public was paying for these services, and they did not deserve such unpleasant experiences.

At 6.16 pm, RapidKL took to their Twitter page to announce that the trains were being streamlined and assured commuters that they will be up and running shortly. The company also apologised for the inconvenience caused and asked commuters to be patient while they resolve the issue.
Meanwhile, other commuters also took it online to complain about the matter. Some took photos of the crowded platforms, while others lamented how the public transport system in the country is so unreliable.

Bullshit…
Why can’t be like last time… 3 minutes each…. everyone are late for work man…#rapidKL pic.twitter.com/1L6XHOKX1Q
One netizen even pointed out the long intervals ranging from 9 to 14 minutes.
Another angry netizen compared the train intervals in the country to that of Ukraine’s metro, where trains there now run at an interval of 6 to 7 minutes due to war.
At 7.17 pm, Rapid KL announced that its trains were back in operation and commuters could proceed with their journey.
Nonetheless, this is the third time in the month the Kelana-Jaya LRT line was reported to be facing technical issues.
The first incident took place on 1 September when trains near Universiti LRT station heading towards Putra Heights were facing some issues, forcing commuters to exit the train carriages and having to walk to the nearest station’s platform.
The second incident occurred on 10 September when Rapid KL reported technical issues at the KL Sentral station, causing commuters to be late in their journey due to lengthy waiting periods and slow travel on the train.
