Most Malaysians were overjoyed when the Federal Court upheld former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s guilty verdict over the multimillion-dollar SRC International Sdn Bhd corruption case and praised the Court for delivering justice.
However, apart from the former prime minister, there’s apparently a bigger mastermind behind this entire corruption saga.
On Tuesday (23 August), the co-author of the ‘Billion Dollar Whale: The Man Who Fooled Wall Street, Hollywood, and the World’, Bradley Hope has taken to Twitter to call for a manhunt for fugitive financier Low Taek Jho, also known as Jho Low.

“WE NEED YOUR HELP to find the original Billion Dollar Whale himself, Jho Low. With Najib in prison, he’s the final piece of the puzzle,” he wrote in the tweet.
“Every person can help with this. Let’s get the citizen investigative army going.”
Bradley urged those with information on his possible whereabouts to email him at [email protected].
In the comment section, some netizens replied that the fugitive might be in China.
In a follow-up tweet, he wrote, “The hunt is on. Every person can help, especially people in Hong Kong, Taipei and elsewhere in China. Get the word out.”
It is alleged that Jho Low, along with other high-level officials of the fund and their associates has misappropriated at least US$4.5 billion from 1MDB.
Up-to-date, the Malaysian police have been trying to locate and bring him back to the country, but he remained unfound.
Low is currently facing a US$3.78 billion or RM16.82 billion lawsuit filed by 1MDB and four of its subsidiaries.
While the search continues, some reports claimed that Jho Low offered RM1.5 billion to the Malaysian government to settle the charges against him, but was rejected by the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC).
