Chief Justice Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat has come under attack from the supporters of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak after the panel of 5-judges unanimous rejected Najib’s bid to once again delay the hearing of his case.
On social media, Twitter user @bossku_team made an offending tweet when replying to another user who called for Tengku Maimun to recuse herself from former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s ongoing final appeal hearing at the Federal Court.
It started with Twitter user @Ayahanda_MD questioning the chief justice’s decisions and accused her of bias due to her husband’s alleged political involvement.
Pada pandangan peribadi saya Tengku Maimun perlu menarik diri mengetuai kes rayuan bossku @NajibRazak kerana setiap keputusan beliau buat boleh dipersoal oleh rakyat atas sebab kepentingan dunia politik suami beliau. However, other netizens who disagree with this remark called for the police to investigate the Twitter user who purportedly threatened chief justice Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat and her husband Datuk Zamani Ibrahim.
“@PDRMsia, this is a threat to the chief justice,” a netizen said.
“Hello @PDRMsia. Isn’t this a form of threat against the chief justice? Please take appropriate action,” another netizen said.

Meanwhile, the MUDA central executive committee member and lawyer Lim Wei Jiet has also commented on the matter and said the tweet was outrageous and a form of criminal intimidation.
