If you are travelling to Genting Highlands and is looking for not-so-expensive rooms for a night, Resorts World Genting has got your back with their new F.W.H package.

According to the hotel’s website, this package is valid from now until the end of this year, 31 December.

While the room comes at a cheaper price, there’s a catch to it. Under this package, you will need to make your own bed.

The poster of the F.W.H package also explains what the initial means.

  • ‘F’ stands for “Fix your own bed” because no hotel staff will do it for you.
  • ‘W’ is for “Waived early check-in fee”, so you do not need to rush to check-in.
  • ‘H’ stands for “Hygienic stay”, which is maintained by the hotel to ensure that guests are comfortable and their stay is satisfactory.

Meanwhile, guests who book their rooms under the F.W.H. package will be provided with a bedding amenity kit that includes bed sheets, pillow cases, a duvet cover, and toiletries to help you make the bed.

In return for making your own bed, guests are entitled to a 15% discount on their bill and an RM60 fee will be imposed if guests would require their staff to make their beds for them.

However, if you decide to change to a different room and longer want this package, prices would be charged according to what the hotel charges during that time.

After Resorts World Genting introduced the package, netizens took to the comment section to express their opinion on the matter.

“Soon, you will have to clean the whole room yourself before you are able to check in,” a netizen said.

“Maybe someday there will be a 40% discount on the ‘self-cleaning toilet package’,” another netizen said.

“Imagine losing money in the casino and you still have to make your own bed when you’re back in the room.” another said.

Meanwhile, some netizens pointed out that the hotel could be facing a serious labour shortage, especially when the country is facing difficulties in getting foreign labour in. “Looks like there is a shortage of workers… Or maybe they’re (the hotel) trying to save wages,” one netizen said.
