A supposedly ‘happy ever after’ wedding of a woman has turned into a nightmare after she found out that her husband was actually a scammer.
Posted on Twitter page @twtmalaywedding, the horrifying marriage story was shared by an anonymous woman who shares a close bond with her aunt due to their close age gap.
She said that her aunt got married somewhere in 2021 to a man she had recently been close to. She added that the man and her aunt were schoolmates and were not close friends initially.
Thus, she was surprised and clueless as to how her aunt decided to marry the man. Nonetheless, as her aunt was not someone who was impulsive and easily fooled, she was sure that her aunt had thought it through.
Sebab tu penting untuk siasat latar belakang seseorang sebelum decide nak kahwin.

Meanwhile, the woman shared that she was unable to make it to her aunt’s wedding ceremony, but she noticed that something was odd about the groom in the pictures her mother shared with her.
She came to realise that the man did not show his full face and was always hiding either by turning to the side or hiding behind the bride’s hand.
However, her mother explained that it was likely because the groom was constantly moving around at the wedding.
“Better be alert, ya. There must be something suspicious going on for those who want to hide their faces. I did not feel good and felt that something was off, but I did not bother because I trusted that my aunt had done her research on the man,” she said.

Several months after the wedding, the woman share that her aunt’s husband started to show a different side of him. She shared that the husband held on to her aunt’s bank card and badmouthed my aunt to their neighbours.
Even worse, he sold her aunt’s car, took a loan using her name, pawned all her jewellery, and stole her savings. She added that her aunt was left with nothing and her bank account was negative due to the loans.
However, it did not just stop there. The man had his hands on his own mother-in-law too. “He told my grandmother to pawn her jewellery to help with his business,” she said.
The man said he runs a security company and was originally a lawyer but she later found out that he was actually a gangster who did illegal activities like human trafficking, gambling, and scam jobs.
Meanwhile, the woman also found out that her aunt was not the man’s first victim. She revealed that the man had confessed to her and said how he planned the scam, from the time they first met to the day they got married.

The woman also said the man was not a typical scammer who does spam calls but an expert who would marry someone just to cheat them.
Unfortunately, her aunt is now in bad condition and going to therapy as she suffers from depression.
With this, she warned those who are planning to get married to do a check on their spouse first. “Check his IC number, whether he already has three wives or if he has a criminal case.” she said.
