PMO deletes Twitter poll that checks public’s view on Jihad Task Force

Social NewsPMO deletes Twitter poll that checks public's view on Jihad Task Force

Just recently, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced the formation of the Jihad Task Force to wage a ‘holy war’ against inflation in the country.

However, the initiative did not go well with the public for various reasons, such as those who are caught wearing and using branded luxury items despite the people pleading for help.

Since then, the Prime Minister’s office’s Twitter page started a poll asking people if they support the notion of the committee has been published but it was quickly taken down due to the negative results received.

Meanwhile, local politician, Syahredzan Johan, managed to get a screenshot of the poll and he later take it to Twitter to showcase it and ask a simple yet essential question, “Why did you delete it?”

The poll read, “Do you agree that the establishment of a special jihad team to deal with inflation to help deal with the rising costs of living will be able to coordinate actions to resolve inflation-related issues, especially in controlling the increase in prices of goods more efficiently and effectively?”

The results of the poll showed 93% of the people said ‘no’ and 4% said they are not sure about this.

In the comment section, netizens vent out their frustration on the current administration for not listening to the people.

“For obvious reasons – they are never sincere when asking for the people’s opinion. When the people’s opinion is against the government’s methods, they’ll just delete it.” a netizen said.

“Majority has disagreed. The Prime Minister still proceeds with it. Since when does he care about the opinions of the people? That is Keluarga Malaysia. It’s just a name.” another netizen said.

Many also pointed out that the post was deleted as the results were not in line with their expectation.
