Following the Prime Minister’s announcement of the free RapidKL rides for a month, the company has released its terms and conditions for the initiative.
According to RapidKL’s T&C, commuters who wish to ride for free are required to download the PULSE app which is available on both Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Following that, you’ll have to fill up a Google Forms survey by clicking on the RKLFR (Free Ride with Rapid KL) banner.
After successfully submitting the form, you must take a screenshot of the ‘Thank You’ page and save it on your phone.
Meanwhile, RapidKL clarified that users are still required to tap in and out at the gates during the free-ride period, whether you are using a My50 pass, TnG Card, Concession card or tokens.
Nonetheless, RapidKL said customers who are using tokens are required to redeem tokens at any of Rapid KL Customer Service Offices can choose to fill up the hardcopy form before entering the gates.
As for those who are using a TnG card, My50 or a concessions pass, you need to ensure that you have a minimum balance of RM5.00 at all times before you can use the Rapid KL public transport service.
Commuters who use the Park and Ride facilities can also still enjoy the flat rate parking if they use same payment/pass card for entry and exit, and RapidKL services.
Meanwhile, if you have recently renewed your My50 unlimited travel pass, RapidKL clarified that subscribers who purchased the My50 pass on 16 June, can claim their 30-day free ride between 23 to 25 July 2022 after the current My50 pass has expired.
However, customers are required to retain their receipts as proof of renewal to redeem the 30-day free ride.
As for existing My50 subscribers whose pass is expiring between 17 June to 15 July 2022, you can enjoy the 30-day free ride pass on the next My50 purchase when your current My50 validity expires.
