On Wednesday (18 May), Bersatu Youth Chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal cheekily left a comment on former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s Facebook book page, while congratulating him as a “newlywed”.
The comment was made on Najib’s Facebook post sharing his meeting with Singaporean Foreign Minister Dr Vivian Balakrishnan and the republic’s High Commissioner to Malaysia Vanu Gopala Menon.
“Selamat pengantin baru Datuk Seri (Congratulations for being a newlywed Datuk Seri),” Wan Fayhsal wrote.
That comment went viral among netizens with many asking whether this this true.
This came after a viral photo of Najib with a woman clutching his arm while being surrounded by youngsters in what seemed like a family photo that went circulated on social media.
Netizens then speculated that Najib has a new wife and family, even though he is currently married to his second wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.
Nonetheless, rumours of Najib being married to someone new have been going around in the political circles for at least a year or two.
According to Wikipedia, Najib’s first marriage took place in 1976 to Tengku Puteri Zainah Tengku Eskandar when he was 23 years old and has 3 children. In 1978, he divorced Tengku Puteri Zainah Eskandar and married Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor with whom he has two children.
Najib has yet to respond to the rumours, but AgendaDaily reported that the woman has since lodged a police report.
