The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology has been introduced to Malaysians for some time now but most of us would agree that there is much to improve on.
Recently, a video showing a Perodua Myvi driver who had just about enough of the RFID system went viral on social media.
The incident is believed to have taken place at the Cheras-Kajang toll, where the Myvi driver thought it was just another day at the toll booth, until he was stopped by the faulty RFID detection system.
In the video, the frustrated driver can be seen reversing and forwarding his vehicle several times, before stepping on the gas pedal and powering through the booth, taking out its boom gate.
In the comment section, netizens were quick to share how relatable the driver’s action was when dealing with RFID problems.
“That’s the way to teach such a slow system. We tried to follow but in some situation, we need to take a bit of action to teach the system.” a netizen shared.
“I support him.. got stuck like this once because the damn sensor didn’t detect mine.. I thought it was just me but the car right behind also got the problem..” another netizen said.
Meanwhile, some netizens hilariously pointed out that only the king of the roads dares to do this and at the same time thanked him for representing Malaysians who have been angry with this RFID system for a long time.
Nonetheless, let’s hope that this will not be an example for people to follow.
