Malaysian celebrity millionaire and cosmetics entrepreneur Dato Aliff Syukri has recently found himself in hot waters after his new Raya song, titled Kelepok Raya, caused an uproar among Malaysians for its inappropriate elements.
Due to the backlashes, Aliff was investigated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (SKMM) under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
Apart from that, the Ministry of Religious Affairs had also referred the music video to JAKIM for further actions on allegations of disrespecting Ramadhan.

On 26 April, Aliff arrived at SKMM and was questioned for nearly 5 hours on matters regarding his music video.
After the session, he apologised for the incident and pleaded to the public to stop blaming his family members for his actions.
“I’m asking for forgiveness from the people who are hurt by my song and video. I’m very sorry.”
“I hope the public would stop bringing my family into this especially my mother who’s currently performing her Umrah. Don’t blame my wife because it’s not her fault. Don’t blame my mother because it’s not her fault too.” he said to the reporters outside the SKMM building.
Aliff also thanked SKMM and said he has given full cooperation to the authorities.
In the video, Aliff can be seen avoiding the media and rushing toward his car. However, before he left, he reiterated the same message to fellow Malaysians.
In his controversial Raya music video, Aliff can be seen singing and dancing along with a few male dancers in an inappropriate manner. His wife, Nur Shahida also appeared in the music video.
Now that Aliff has apologised for his song and music video, shall we let the matter end here? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
