Gambler takes home RM5 Million after winning 27 rounds of Baccarat at Genting Casino

Gamblers usually always end up losing money gambling because there is an element of risk involved.

But a lucky punter at the Genting Highlands Casino in Pahang hit pay dirt after playing baccarat for 27 consecutive rounds.

The gambler displayed his bounty of casino chips after the winnings. Each chip was worth RM10,000, the highest chip value in the VIP room.

The report was based on a posting in a Facebook page, 波王Paul-238.

According to visual estimates, the chips on the table are around RM7 million, which means the high roller started with about RM2 million.

Although the minimum table bet is RM1,000, the VIP room allows gamblers to place a bet of RM300,000.

A photo shows that the gambler was trying his luck at table ‘MBV02’, with a minimum and maximum buy-in of RM1,000 to RM300,000.

If high rollers bet between RM200,000 and RM300,000 and win more than 20 times in a row, they can certainly win more than RM5 million.

The gambler reportedly exchanged all the chips for stacks of RM50 and RM100 bills and displayed them on a bed. There’s one certainty in gambling: nothing is left to chance.

In the end, the house always comes out the winner. Most people lose money in gambling — and heavy gamblers lose the most. Gambling can also be addictive because it stimulates the brain’s reward system much like drugs or alcohol can.

In fact, gambling addiction is the most common impulse control disorder worldwide. It is better to give a pause on gambling if one has suffered a large loss.
