LRT scheduled to have 12min interval time between trains

Starting this 1 April, Malaysia will enter the endemic phase where all businesses and industries affected by the lockdowns will be lifted.

This also includes our public transportation. The capacity and frequency of trains such as the LRT, MRT, and Monorail were reduced during the MCO period due to less traffic.

However, all public transportation run by Prasarana will resume full capacity by 1 April 2022, including trains and buses in KL.

According to the new schedule, trains will be more frequent on weekdays within the city center than on weekends or public holidays.

For example, stations within the Central Business District (CBD) will see only a 3-minute interval on weekdays, and a 6-minute interval on weekends.

The longest train frequency will be the KL Monorail and MRT Kajang line on weekends, which have a 12-minute wait.
