This “blue tick” had bring about some excitement on Twitter, as most netizens were under the impression that it was the “prestigious” blue tick that influencers has.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t the case. The Health Ministery (KKM) has finally explained the purpose of the verification status and it has nothing to do with your influencer status.

In a statement on 22 March, KKM explained that a verified MySejahtera account will ensure full access to all features which include the vaccine certificate. It added that users who can’t find their digital vaccine certificate in the app are due to unverified accounts.
On the other hand, if your account is not verified, you will be unable to see your certificates. Without your certificate, you cannot enter restaurants and many other business premises, hence, having access to the digital certificate is a must.
To get yourself verified, simply tap on the “Verify Now” button in red and follow the steps to verify yourself. Once your details are verified by the authorities, your red badge should turn into a blue tick saying ‘Verified’ in the Check-In page of the app.
Apart from entering restaurants and other business premises, your Covid-19 vaccination certificate on MySejahtera is also crucial when it comes to travelling overseas, as it will be used as a proof of vaccination.
For incoming international travellers to Malaysia, they are also required to use MySejahtera and they will be issued a Traveller’s card before they depart for their flight to the country.
If you are worried about missing your certificate, you can export your it into a PDF file and print it out if required.
Other than the verified status, the latest MySejahtera 1.1.8 update has introduced a couple of tweaks including “Help” links on the Covid-19 risk and vaccination status. This will make it easier for users to report issues about their home surveillance order and vaccination status.
