Being good looking can definitely help people gain popularity and move up in their career faster. In some cases, it can even help them look more innocent than they should be, just like in the case of Cameron Herrin, where women supported this young man despite his crimes.
Recently, a piece of headline news from 2018 had once again resurfaced on TikTok after a user sharing it called the accused “handsome”.
The news report was about Lim Fong Aun who was accused of killing his wife T Santhi by hitting her on the head with a laundry drying rack at their rented apartment in Taman Seri Indah, Penang on 18 November 2018.
Despite the crime, many users found the man to be handsome and justified his actions with reasons such as “If a husband kills his own wife, it doesn’t mean that the husband is 100% in the wrong. Maybe the wife always made him feel inferior and did not respect him.”
“I pity him. Looks like a nice guy… we don’t know what could’ve happened between the two… only Allah knows.” another netizen said.
The video went viral with over 262,000 views and was taken to Twitter where netizens criticised those who tried to justify the man’s act of killing his wife.
“Pretty privilege in action. It is fucked up to witness in real life, to be honest.” a netizen said.

Meanwhile, some Twitter users also questioned how the man can be regarded as handsome.
One user also said this is just like the case of the infamous Ted Bundy, “This is like the American serial killer. Because he is handsome people think it’s fine, he even has a fan club.”
What do you think about this? Should we forsake someone of his crimes just because of his looks?
