The flood in Peninsular Malaysia has shown slight improvements. However, the losses that the victims have to suffer can be unimaginable.
Nevertheless in light of the recent events, the government has come out with some plans that may ease the burden of the victims a little.
Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, the Domestic Minister has announced that flood victims who have lost important documents due to the flood can get them renewed for FREE.
Those important documents include:
- Birth certificate
- Death certificate
- Identification cards (IC)
The renewals of the documents can be done at the Immigration Department and the National Registration Office (JPN).
In the meantime, he added that a number of 16,000 police officers in the country have been tasked to rescue and assist the flood victims in their respective states. The supply of essential needs to the victims will be carried on by the respective Chief police in the affected states.
