NewsTouch ‘n Go Card and SmartTag At Toll Plazas Will Be Gradually...

The Ministry of Works (KKR) has recently announced that they will be gradually phasing out the Touch n’ Go (TnG) card and SmartTAG as payment options starting 2022 and it will be fully replace with RFID.

In the statement, KKR said this system will go live at toll plazas within the North-South Expressway between Juru in Penang and Skudai in Johor route, starting 15 January 2022.

However, the discontinuation of the TnG and SmartTAG options will be done in stages although the ministry did not provide the exact timeline in today’s announcement.
