Fun fairs is a place for people to enjoy themselves and make pleasant memories.
Unfortunately, a tragic accident had happened in a certain fun fair in Cheras which lead to the death of a man, and injured another.
According to Bernama, the police received a report yesterday (11 November) that 2 man fell from a Ferris wheel at the fun fair.
It is also believed the accident happened before midnight at the funfair near Aeon Jusco Cheras Selatan.
According to Kajang police deputy chief Supt Mohd Sabri Abdullah, one of the victims, a 39 year-old man was confirmed dead at the scene when ambulance workers from Kajang Hospital arrived.
Meanwhile, the other victim, also in his 30s was thankful that he survived the accident, despite being seriously injured. He was then sent to the hospital for treatment.
Mohd Sabri said the police are still investigating the cause of the incident.
The preliminary investigations found that that is no criminal element involved.
Mohd Sabri also explained that they are looking into the case to ascertain if there was negligence on the funfair owner’s part, or the victims themselves.
The case has been classified as uncertain death and the victim’s body has been sent to Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia where an autopsy will be done.
