A man was hacked to death in front of a restaurant after having lunch with his two children at Lorong Batu Nilam 27A, Bandar Bukit Tinggi on Saturday (6 November).
According to The Star, the 18 year-old youth and his 10 year-old brother managed to escape unscathed, but their father was not so fortunate.
South Klang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Shamsul Amar Ramli said there were 3 men, armed with machetes, approached him from behind the vehicle and started slashing away.

He said the victim ran for his life, but collapsed shortly after and died in front of a neighbouring restaurant.
Shamsul said that based on the information they have, a 33-year-old man has been detained on Saturday (6 November) evening at nearby Jenjarom.

“The man denied being involved in the case.”
“Further investigations will be carried out after a remand order has been obtained from the Klang Court.” he said.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the victim is a moneylender or ‘Ah Long’ and has offices in Bukit Tinggi Klang, Shah Alam and Kajang.
The police also believe there were 4 suspects involved in the murder, with 1 of them waiting in the getaway car whilst the other 3 carried out the deed.
The deceased also had 7 previous police records under the Penal Code.
