A Muslim man allegedly conducted his prayers in the middle of the road in the streets of Kuala Lumpur at about 3.45 p.m. on 13 October.
A netizen who so happened to be on the streets had recorded the incident and had shared it on his Instagram Stories.
In the video, a man wearing a red shirt can be seen conducting his prayers on the busy street, at the same time, causing a massive traffic while the cars on the road switches lane to avoid him.
Meanwhile, a traffic police at the scene had helped the man in directing the traffic instead of requesting him to stay away from the busy streets.
Nonetheless, it is believed that the incident took place in front of one of the petrol stations in Taman Wahyu, Kuala Lumpur.
According to the netizen, he said that he had just finish making arrangements to deliver the goods and had stopped by the petrol station when he saw the man walking slowly on the road as if there were no vehicles.
“He came from the direction where NSK is, to the third lane, the rightmost lane, looking relaxed as if nothing happened.”
“Even the traffic police can’t do anything because the cars are all speeding near there.” he said.
After reaching the middle of the road, the man then spread his prayer mat and conduct his prayers there, while causing the street to be congested. However, the traffic police helped control the flow of traffic while the man was praying.
Nonetheless, netizens were furious about the incident and many urge the authorities to take action against the man for endangering the lives of the people.
There were some who criticized the traffic police for failing to stop the man from the act and instead helped him to control the traffic.
